When Hell Breaks Loose

I am very excited about my collectives upcoming exhibition "When Hell Breaks Loose" at the Old Shoreditch station in east London. The exhibition will be opening 17 March and for this exhibition we have invited some very talented friends to join us, Lucy Kirk & James Swain.

The show will contain linocut prints by the talented James Swain, ceramics & prints by superb Lucy Kirk, beautiful screen prints by Ashley Amery, cool illustrated prints by Karin Söderqvist and illustrated prints and objects by me on the theme "When Hell Breaks Loose".

Raw Like Sushi Sock Collection

Lately I have been busy with a very fun project, I have been working on Sammy Icons upcoming autumn as well as next years spring sock collection and as the 90's hip hop chick I am who also grew up in the 80's there's a lot of inspiration drawn from that. The collection in full is named after my childhood hero (of course Salt n Pepa was no 1) Neneh Cherry and her first album "Raw Like Sushi".

The full collection will be out next year but there will be a few sock designs coming out in advance so stay tuned. Here's a sneak peek, the sock Oasis that is out now in a low cut summer sneaker size available in orange & cerise. And yes, Sammy icon ships internationally and an English version of their website is on its way up :)

Budgie Love goes Wallpaper

Evolution Pattern Collection

I think that most of you recognise these patterns, I have shown some of them before, here on the blog, on my website and on my Twitter account, I call them my Evolution pattern collection; Budgie Love, Swedish Winter and Evolution. The last, the Evolution pattern is much, much larger in reality, I just wanted to show how the repeat works so I scaled it down, here it is in its real scale;

I am not sure if my obsession with hand drawn animals and patterns has ceased so there might be more soon.

Voila: Landscape bedding done!

I developed nr 3 which was my favorite but changed the size and the shape of the mountains a bit to make them look less like "puddings" and made the river a bit larger and yes, thats it!

Work in Progress: Landscape Bedding

I haven't touched it for a few weeks but this is where it is right now, Landscape bedding in progress; rocks or no rocks, that is the question and scales and color tones needs to be corrected.

This is what I am working on today. Mountains or no mountains? Hmm... My eyes hurt from staring into to screen and as always I am going bananas about colors and can never really pick but I am having fun. This is work in progress, I will show you the final version when I have managed to make up my mind. Anyone who can guess what its for?

SL-card competition!

I am taking part in a Oyster card design competition in Sweden, I guess that you will have to be Swedish to participate but I thought I'd write about it here anyway so that all you Swedes can participate and also of-course vote if you would like to see any of these design on an SL-card.

Unbearable excitement!

Last year I designed sea creatures for the Swedish company Åhlens for a shower-curtain which was incredible fun as I love character design. Now I just received the news that it's ready and had a look at some of the press-photos of the real thing, voila! Here it is and its called Cousteau and is created by me and Emmanuel Rylander at Åhlens.




The shower curtain will be out in store sin Sweden and Norway in week 7 and I feel ridiculously excited about that someone will have my sea creatures hanging in their bathroom.

Here's my Hellmer tea towel and potholder design that I did for the Swedish company Åhlens. 

The theme is "kräftskiva", that's a crayfish party that we in Sweden celebrate in the end of August/ September. 

Hellmer will be out in the shops in week 28.
